About BUGVEL

BUGVEL is a 4-member Japanese-Taiwanese dance-vocal group under JB Entertainment (formally DREAM PASSPORT), officially formed on 2020 October 30, and debuting with their 1st Single “bad guy” on 2022 March 30.The name “BUGVEL” is a coined term inspired by programming and justice.
It combines “Bug” (a flaw in software) and “Gavel” (a judge's hammer -- the symbol of judgment).
As a verb, it means to give judgment towards something incomplete, to make it get closer to completion;
as a noun, it passes judgment to the bug (flaw), so that justice is born through the process within the evolving group.All members had previously competed in popular survival shows such as South Korea's PRODUCE X 101 and Japan's PRODUCE 101 JAPAN (Season 1), honing their skills before coming together as BUGVEL.Their fandom name, REBRA, combines the words “Reboot” (to fix the bug) and “Libra” (the symbol of justice), symbolizing the fans' role in supporting and balancing the group's journey.

Originally a 6-member group, HIKARU had departed on 2022 January 27, and KOSHIN had graduated on 2023 October 31.On 2024 October 30, BUGVEL launched “BUGVEL THE JUDGMENT”, a project deciding their future based on ticket sales for their 2nd one-man live at Zepp DiverCity slated for 2025 October 30 (Thu) -- They will secure their major debut if they sell out completely. Otherwise, they will disband immediately.

• MINATO competed in PRODUCE 101 JAPAN as a dance position, and decided to give rap a try during the Concept Evaluation stage.• He is a self-proclaimed gym enthusiast, with a set of sculpted shoulders.• Despite his tall and trained physique, there's a wide gap between his looks and personality as he speaks in a soft Kansai dialect.• He has since starred in several stage-plays since debut, making a name for himself as an actor while being active as a member of BUGVEL.

• RAIRA is an EXPG Graduate (Vocal student) and was a part of a duo named Ligh＋Ü (ライトユー [raitoyuu]) with DEEPSQUAD/THE JET BOY BANGERZ's Uhara Yuhi prior to competing on PRODUCE 101 JAPAN.• He started to aspire becoming an artist after watching an EXILE concert which his older sister took him to.• He is in charge of the art direction for BUGVEL's releases post 2024, and goes by the alias of “adbr” (art directed by raira).
